| JAPANESE/ENGLISH IMMERSION PROGRAM
The program follows the immersion program used in Canada and America over the last 25 years which produces very successful results. Before “learning” a new language, like English or Japanese, the students are immersed in the second language so that the “acquiring” process takes place. Classes are offered for three and four year old preschool students. The three year old program is a two day program. Four year olds have the option of a three day or five day program.
The English immersion program follows the same curriculum, Abeka, as the regular classes at Cedar Park. The Japanese immersion program follows the course of study established by the Ministry of Education in Japan.
JAPANESE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
Students in grades first through sixth have the opportunity to participate in the Japanese enrichment program. The enrichment program is built into the regular class day. Students continue to build upon the foundation of the Japanese immersion program and further their academic studies in Japanese.
JAPANESE FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Japanese, as a second language, is a part of the curriculum for Cedar Park Christian International elementary students. Students are instructed in Japanese culture along with developing daily conversational skills. The upper grades begin to develop Japanese writing skills.
