General Overview

The Student Services Program at Cedar Park Christian Schools provides assistance to parents, teachers, and students in helping build a strong academic foundation. Sometimes this foundation is weak or has voids that require additional work. There are also situations where a child has significant learning differences or even physiological challenges that must be addressed in order for him/her to achieve. This program, while not a “special education” program per se, is designed to address these areas.

Available Programs

• L.E.A.P. (Learning Enrichment Academic Program)
• For students who are having significant academic difficulties in several areas.
• Phonics
• For students who are having specific difficulties in phonics, reading, comprehension and spelling.
• IEPC/ALPHA
• For students who are academically achieving at a higher level than his/her peers.

How Students are Identified

• Several sources
• Review of past records, including Stanford Achievent Test scores and report cards
• Previous teacher comments
• Current teacher input
• Parent request

General Structure

• 1 ½ hours of instruction a week
• Typically 3 – 30 minute sessions
• Adjustments to this schedule may be possible
• One-on-One or small group instruction
• A Progress Report will be sent out at the end of each quarter.

Fee Schedule (per semester)

• 1:1 Instruction…….................$450.00*
• Group Instruction…................$315.00*
• IEPC/ALPHA………………Pricing varies. Please contact us for additional information.

* An optional assessment is available for a $50.00 fee.
